From our Partner Chapter in Uruguay

GREETINGS FROM URUGUAY

It is an honor and a pleasure for me to welcome you to this "DESDE URUGUAY" website, from which we periodically post news from our Uruguay-based Chapter of the Minnesota Partnership.

After 28 years of involvement in Partners of the Americas, I have been fortunate to work with many talented Uruguayans and Minnesotans who share a commitment to international friendship, cultural and academic exchange and societal and community development.

Uruguay and Minnesota have much in common: natural beauty, enterprising citizens, sophisticated urban centers, a rural heritage we are proud of and more. We have learned much from each other over our 40 year partnership, and welcome the involvement of volunteers in our work.

I would like to share what I think Partners has given me through these years:

I think that Partners allows me to channel and develop my natural vocation of solidarity and volunteer service.

In this way, besides helping others, I have been able to enrich my life, cultivating a strong net of what I consider the most important fortune that I have in my life: FRIENDSHIP.
